My call to support women and their birth partners began as early as 9 years old, way before I even knew what a doula was. My fascination began when my mother had become pregnant with my little brother. I was so excited about my new role as a big sister and even more excited to learn about (what seemed to be magic ) labor and delivery. I vividly remember watching shows like TLC's "A Baby Story" with her almost every day as we prepared for my brother's arrival, crying tears of joy every time a baby was born. I remember helping my mother around the house and I would even rub her feet when I would notice she started to feel overwhelmed, Little did I know, that reaction and compassion I developed during her pregnancy would later turn into clues to find my calling later in life.
I first heard the call to become a Doula in 2020 after stepping out on faith and leaving a very stable career to live in my truth. I studied Reiki with an organization called Beacons of Change and later started my own business as an energy healer. I began doing 1on1 healing sessions with women and noticed one thing they all would have in common, and that was energetic blocks within the Sacral chakra ( the Womb) the place where women house our emotions and children. After seeing this repeatedly I began to think about the children coming from these wombs and that's when it became clear that I had to do something about it.
By using my natural healing and intuitive gifts I began helping women get to the root of their pain and hurt, and emotional issues, taking them through a gentle rebirthing experience rooted in self-love and care all while preparing them to give birth. Since then I've been sharing my light and wisdom with other women to help bring in a generation of children that come from the wombs of women doing the inner work necessary for their healing.
I encourage my clients to be empowered in their birthing choices and decision-making, embracing their pregnant bodies and trusting their natural ability to birth in all birth settings. The transformative experience of pregnancy and childbirth is met with the tender, compassionate heart of my doula support and continuity of care by mothering the mother.
